Frequently Asked Questions
-
What will I receive from the process?
Ideally you will learn more about yourself, gain confidence, new tools and a fresh outlook on style. Practically, you’ll be provided a robust presentation with the style framework we’ll use, a style profile created just for you with reference images of items that work best for your wardrobe and lifestyle and a closet that feels more aligned to you. We achieve this with time dedicated to auditing your closet, understanding style elements that best serve you, shopping for key pieces and building a potential lookbook. How much and what we achieve together will be best confirmed once we can connect.
-
How long does the process take?
This depends on a few factors. First how do our schedules align, what is your most comfortable speed learning something new and what is our goal for the process. This could be anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months for the full process. Or even as little as 48 hours for existing clients to find the perfect event look. Once you've reached out for next steps, deciding our overall timeline will be top priority.
-
How do I pay for services?
Once we have agreed on your personal styling or other related services, we will agree upon the start date of the process or the completion date of the project. Once we set the timing of the first meeting, you will be able to pay the total through credit card, venmo, paypal or other agreed upon platform. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, payment is not refundable.

What is the best way to contact you?
We live in a supercharged world with a million small and large responsibilities. We ideally will both have a mutual respect for the pace of our communication. For new or potential clients, please email me at info@andreamarielong.com. For existing clients, we can communicate by phone, text, instagram, email or voice notes of your choice. While we are working though the process, I want you to feel you can reach out at any time with a respect for timely responses.

How do I shop items with you?
Once we’ve confirmed your style type and the items you may want to add to your wardrobe, we can work on shopping those items. We’ll work with your budget , sizing and preferences to find the best item at a price that best fits your budget. I can build a shopping cart virtually and provide you the items as a link, you would check out with the item and then we can meet again to determine if the item works once received or how to style it. I can also help remind or complete any returns if needed. In person shopping with a list I've helped curate or local to KC is also a great and FUN option.
-
Can you travel to me?
Yes! I am based in Kansas City. If you are in the KC metro area, we can meet in person for any of our sessions. If you are outside that area, we can review the travel costs associated with meeting in person instead of virtual. Just outside of the KC Metro area will incur a travel fee. Additional locations will include cost of flights or hotels as needed.

What is a Closet Audit?
As part of our process investigating your style type and what works for you lifestyle, we'll be able to organize, minimize, alter and re-style the items in your closet to better work for you. Our goal will be to help you renew, replace, alter or fall in love again with your wardrobe so that you can easily express your most authentic self and getting dressed is easier. We can also work on organizing and creating a storage process that works for how you live. The process is judgement free, and truly an analysis of colors, fabrics, textures and more that work best for you.

What is My Style type?
This is an established framework that helps you find the most powerful expression of you! You don’t ‘need’ to follow trends (but you can) or dress like you ‘think’ you should to develop or transform your style. This is a way to understand what you love the most along with what best expresses you energetically. This is confirmed through color, cut, silhouette, fabric pattern, and more.
You may feel stuck in your style and not know what to buy or you may know what works for you and just want to take it to the next level of expression. This type of analysis helps either way!

What else should I know?
This process can take time and also dedicated work to explore your past and future self. This work will likely touch on parts of you that aren't just external, while also helping you feel more aligned, more accepting, greater confidence and ease of dressing. Style is about experimenting, playing, risk-taking and building up your unique expression over time. I'm honored to join you on that journey.
